One answer for the whole building. Here is how it is reached.
Give the board a plan
Give us the building and fireplace count, and we will describe the order of the visit.
The same steps, door after door
At each home, covers go down first. Then we work roof to firebox and photograph each part as it is checked. The routine does not change from unit to unit. That is how the board can compare one fireplace with another later.
Photos are gone through with whoever is home at that unit, so a resident is never left wondering.
Reading the report
One report covers the building. Every fireplace is named, with written findings and photos. Report and photos come together, on the day we visit.
Working out the cost
Pricing runs per fireplace. Decide on Level 1 or Level 2, then multiply the matching figure by the number of fireplaces in the building.
Level 1 covers whatever is reachable. Level 2 adds a camera in the flue, and it also visits whichever attic, crawlspace and roof spaces allow access.
One visit, then decisions
The whole list gets done in a single visit. Afterward, repairs are quoted separately, and nothing is done without a yes from the board. If the building has had a chimney fire, been shaken by a quake, changed hands or changed fuel, NFPA 211 favors a Level 2 for it. We serve Carson, Gardena, Torrance, Lomita and Long Beach.
Rates per fireplace
Level 1 is $57, Level 2 is $410, and a sweep starts from $230, each per fireplace.
- Standard flue sweep
- from $230
- Visual Level 1
- $57
- Camera scan, Level 2
- $410
Repairs are quoted after the visit.
Board questions
Do you disturb residents?
We cover the floor and hearth before any tool comes inside, and we finish each unit before moving to the next.
Can the board see which fireplace is which?
Yes. The report names every fireplace.
Can we pick different levels?
Yes. Tell us which units get Level 1 and which get Level 2.
Tell us about the building
